FroYo Shop Passes on Roscoe Street Site
Forever Yogurt says they're no longer looking to open on Roscoe, but another location in town.
After initially sparking a rumor they planned to open a store on Roscoe Street, representatives with Forever Yogurt say they’re now looking to fill different storefront in Roscoe Village.
The company posted a “Coming Soon” notification on its website announcing the 1,100-square-foot vacant storefront at 2004 W. Roscoe St. would be the neighborhood’s first location. However, now Franchise CEO Mandy Calara says Forever Yogurt could be slated for a different location.
“We’ve actually replaced this site with one we’re working on at the strip center with Mariano’s on Western & Roscoe,” Calara said in an email.

She added that nothing is final yet, and they're still working on sorting out an arrangement. Before Calara set the record straight, another representative with Forever Yogurt told Patch the company planned to open the Roscoe Street location around March 1st.
Rumors about the new store on Roscoe comes just after the business said plans to open a store onSouthport Avenue in Lake View fell through. Forever Yogurt has two other locations in Lake View, one at 931 W. Belmont Ave. and the other at 3510 N. Halsted St. in Boystown.

Roscoe Village’s first store is marked as “Coming Soon” on Forever Yogurt’s website, with details like the store’s hours still under wraps. However, the business’ other area locations are open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day but Friday and Saturday where it says open until midnight.

The Chicago-based company, headquartered at 215 W. Ohio St., is rapidly expanding, with more 90 locations marked as “Coming Soon” or “Seeking Space” on its website.
Forever Yogurt would be Roscoe Village’s second frozen yogurt shop, with Scooter’s Frozen Custard located on the corner of West Belmont Avenue and North Paulina Street.
