Half Acre Brewery Reduces Hours in Tap Room and Store

Starting Jan. 14, the Half Acre tap room won't be open on Mondays—those with beginning-of-the-week blues will have to wait until Tuesday.

Half Acre Brewery has a case of the Mondays.

The neighborhood’s newest brewery and tap room announced it would be closed on Mondays starting Jan. 14. That goes for the company’s store, too.

“When we opened our tap room a few months ago, we decided to keep it open all seven days of the week. Enough of that,” the brewery’s blog stated.

But those needing a Monday after-work beer are in luck on Jan. 28. Half Acre is pairing with local restaurant Browntrout for a beer dinner. Five courses will be paired with five beers and features fried chicken paired with Van Horn English Bitter Ale.

Opening on Mondays was a first for the company, which began brewing in Wisconsin in 2006.
