The North Center Senior Center is asking residents to donate goods for an upcoming event.

The Mad Hatter is descending on Northcenter senior citizens.Â
The North Center Satellite Senior Center, a program that organizes activities for seniors, is throwing a tea party. More than 1,700 seniors a month use the center at Irving Park and Western avenues and are looking to residents for the following items:
- Gently-used books
- Tea cups with saucers
- Vintage table cloths
- Tea pots
- Sugar and creamers
- Tea cozies
- Three-tiered serving stands
- Tea infusers
- Sugar tongs
Donors can drop off bits and pieces at the center, 4040 N. Oakley Ave., with the attention of Liza Martin. Martin will also pick up items if reached by phone or email (lmartin@catholicharities.net, 312-744-4029). Â
