Know Northcenter: New App Keeps it Local for Shoppers

A recently launched smartphone app is aimed at promoting Shop Northcenter, a chamber of commerce initiative intended to boost the local economy.

Shopping locally in Northcenter has never been so easy.

Shortly after launching its Shop Northcenter initiative, the Northcenter Chamber of Commerce has delivered a handy smartphone application that makes accessing local deals, dining and entertainment as simple as a touchscreen. The free app aggregates businesses' existing news and social media feeds, listing them all in one place—each business' individual profile.

"It includes all those things people are already doing to promote their businesses," said Brad Ball, associate director for the chamber. "It's an easy, handheld way to really broadcast what we're doing locally."
