Man with Cane Robs Bank Inside Jewel-Osco, Police Say

No one was injured in the robbery that occurred Sunday morning, according to police.

Police are looking for a man they say robbed the TCF Bank in Northcenter Sunday morning. He was carrying a cane and had medical gauze or tape on his face, police said.

At approximately 10:10 a.m., the suspect went to the bank inside the Jewel-Osco at 4250 N. Lincoln Ave., and announced a robbery. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.

No injuries were reported and the man didn’t display a weapon, Zala said.

The man was described as white, with a medium build and in his 30s, police said. He was last seen wearing a red and white beanie hat, burgundy coat and blue jeans.
