Most Promiscuous Gay Cities: Chicago Ranks

With the North Side's Boystown area crowned as the first gay village in the United States, its no wonder Chicago made the list of the “10 Most Promiscuous Gay Cities in America.”

Chicago may not have topped the list, but it wasn't dead last either. It ranked No. 6 on a recent poll by SeekingArrangement.com, a website that calls itself the "world's largest 'sugar daddy' dating network.

It polled roughly 11,000 gay users regarding their sexual habits. In this instance, the site asked how many members joined simply to find a “hook up.”

“According to our study, more gay males utilize online dating for ‘hooking up’ compared to heterosexual males," the site's founder Brandon Wade said in a written statement. "While there is always potential to fall in love, online dating makes it very easy to find singles who are similarly looking for something less serious.”

Rounding our first place was West Hollywood, the home of the Abbey Bar that Boystown has been buzzing about. It took the top spot based on how many responded saying they had 10 or more sexual partners in a year.
