Black Dog Gelato Starts Summer Hours Soon

A local gelato shop will return to its summer hours starting this weekend. See what you can expect from the Belmont Avenue sweet treat hotspot.

'Tis the season for warm weather, beautiful flowers, patio dinners and—possibly best of all—gelato.

One Roscoe Village sweet treat option, Black Dog Gelato, 1955 W. Belmont Ave., will soon be moving to its summer hours.

Owners made an "impromptu decision" to stay open beyond normal hours on Monday night at the shop, according to their Facebook page.
