Signs of Summer: Warm Weather Brings Local Fun (PHOTOS)
Sunshine returns to Northcenter and Roscoe Village Monday, as temperatures bring neighbors out of winter's hibernation.
Summer-like temperatures came to Northcenter and Roscoe Village last week, bringing residents out of their homes to enjoy local luxuries including dog play areas, parks and window shopping.
The weather was a welcomed change from heavy rainfall last month—the wettest on record since 1947.
The city saw more than 8.5 inches of rain in April, according to reports. Nearly 4 inches of that total came April 18, when floodwater took over much of the city. The worst-hit area was Albany Park.
