Teenagers Shot During Drive-By in Northcenter, Police Say

The two teens were driving late Sunday night in the 2400 block of Irving Park Road when occupants of another vehicle opened fire.

Two teenage boys were listed in stable condition Monday morning after being shot while riding in a car late Sunday night. 

An 18-year-old victim was shot in the head while a 17-year-old was shot in the back, according to Chicago Police News Affairs. Both remained Monday at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. 

At 11:33 p.m. Sunday night, the two teens were driving in the 2400 block of West Irving Park Road when a dark sport utility vehicle pulled alongside them. The suspects in the SUV began firing at the victims, police said.

The incident was still under investigation on Monday, police said, and would not specify whether it was gang-related.
