There are two types of people in the world: Those who love Patch, and those who haven’t heard of it yet.

Considering this is Patch’s debut in North Center and Roscoe Village, we're assuming most of you have never heard of it before. Now how do we explain this without overselling it? Oh yes… Patch is only the coolest news website in the world, and you’ll never be able to live without it again!

Simply put, Patch is a free, daily, local community website that focuses on important and cool topics in your neighborhood. We only cover news that affects North Center and Roscoe Village residents, and it’s our full-time job to know everything about everything in our community.

However, it's very important that you understand that Patch belongs to you, the community. It should reflect your interests, stories, events, fundraisers and all the dynamics that make this neighborhood great.

Patch is a place where the community comes to learn and interact with neighbors. You can post a message about a missing dog, or read our articles about the reason behind a new tax increase. 

We're here to support you whether that means reporting on CTA issues or publishing photos from a street festival. Our goal is to provide the news you want to read, so we'll share stories about locals, volunteers, businesses, schools and their students, as well as government. We'll also provide you with restaurant reviews, arts and entertainment coverage as well as special columns.
