1 Dead In Apparent Suicide ID'd As Orland Park Man, 57: Oak Forest PD
The incident happened Sunday afternoon in the parking lot outside the former Food 4 Less.
OAK FOREST, IL — A man who police said took his own life in the parking lot of the former Food 4 Less in Oak Forest Sunday afternoon has been identified as an Orland Park man.
Walter Mack, 57, had been reported missing prior to the incident, Oak Forest Police Chief Jason Reid said. GPS was used to track the car to the lot at 159th Street and Central Avenue.
The South Suburban Emergency Response Team was called in an abundance of caution, Reid said.

Police found Mack dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Reid said, and determined he was deceased before their arrival.
