1 Injured In 3-Car Crash In Midlothian Over Weekend: Police

Police said the crash occurred at around 9 a.m. Saturday and involved three cars but only one driver was injured.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — One person was injured after a crash involving three cars Saturday morning in Midlothian, police confirmed to Patch.

According to officials, one car was driving west on 149th Street at around 9 a.m. when the driver attempted to cross over Cicero Avenue. Their car was then struck by another vehicle heading northbound on Cicero Avenue. The force of the first car being hit pushed it into the southbound lanes where it was hit by another car heading south.

Police, fire and emergency officials responded to the scene by 9:05 a.m. and shut down the intersection for around two hours. The driver of the car that was hit twice was taken to South Suburban Hospital with minor injuries.

Midlothian Police Chief Dan Delaney said the other two drivers were uninjured.
