MIDLOTHIAN, IL — One person was killed early Tuesday in a crash involving a motorcycle and a commercial vehicle on Interstate 294 in the south suburbs, according to state police.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the southbound interstate near milepost 9 in Midlothian, with the victim pronounced at the scene, police said.

Lane closures were in place during the investigation, but all lanes were open by about 5:15 a.m., according to police.
