2 Dead In Bremen Township Crash: Cook County Sheriff
The crash happened Thursday, Dec. 26 at 143rd Street and Harlem Avenue, the sheriff's office said.
BREMEN TOWNSHIP — Two people were killed last week in a crash in unincorporated Bremen Township, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Just before 11 p.m. Dec. 26, sheriff's police were called to a crash involving two vehicles near the intersection of 143rd Street and Harlem Avenue, the sheriff's office said.
A 2018 Kia sedan northbound on 143rd Street is believed to have swerved into oncoming traffic in the southbound lanes, striking a 2021 Lexus sedan. The driver of the Kia was taken to an area hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The passenger of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as passenger Tamer Ibrahim Mousa Romman, 26, of Worth, and driver Salahaldeen Abdallah Khaled Khatabeh, 23, of Bridgeview, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said Monday.

The driver and passenger of the Lexus were both taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
