2 Found Dead With Gunshot Wounds In Midlothian: Cops

Autopsies will be performed Tuesday to determine the cause of death of the victims, police said.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — Police continue to investigate what led to the shooting deaths of a man and woman found Monday morning in a Midlothian apartment. Both victims suffered apparent gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene, investigators said.

According to police, officers responded to a call at about 9:38 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, in the 14700 block of South Homan Avenue. The victims' bodies were taken to the Cook County medical examiner's office, and autopsies will be performed Tuesday to determine the cause of death, police said.

The victims' names have not been released while family members are notified. Police do not believe there is any threat to the public.
