2 Killed, 2 Injured When Car Hits Tree In Hazel Crest: Report

HAZEL CREST, IL — A passenger died after being ejected and a driver was also killed in a single-car crash early Saturday in Hazel Crest, ABC-7 reports.

Police were called to the crash in the 16900 block of Wood Street just after 2 a.m., according to the report. A car carrying four people had struck a tree near 169th Street. Two other passengers were also treated for injuries, ABC-7 reports.

It was not immediately known if weather was a factor in the crash.

The identities of the victims have not yet been disclosed, pending notification of family.

The South Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team is assisting with the crash investigation.
