3 In Custody After Mail Carrier Robbed At Gunpoint In Harvey: Reports
Two bins of packages were stolen, as well as a backpack, according to reports.

HARVEY, IL — Three people were taken into custody after a mail carrier was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday in Harvey, according to reports.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. in the 15800 block of South Halsted Street, WGN reported.
The robber had a gun and a drum magazine, according to FOX 32, which reported the thief searched the U.S. Postal Service carrier’s pockets, and stole two bins of packages as well as a backpack.

Inspectors who responded to the theft heard gunfire nearby and followed three people to a residence in the 600 block of East 157th Place, and, after getting consent to search the home, detained the trio and recovered the mail, as well as two guns, WGN reported.
