3 Wounded In Separate Shootings At Dolton Bowling Alley: Police

Of those injured, 2 of them are in critical condition. Police said they are not sure if the shootings are connected

DOLTON, IL — Three people were wounded in two shootings outside a Dolton bowling alley Sunday night, village officials said. Two of them are in critical condition.

Police said they received the first call of shots fired at Dolton Bowl on East Sibley Boulevard at around 8 p.m. When units arrived, they found a 52-year-old man who had been shot multiple times in the left leg and had other wounds on his face.

The second shooting happened at 11 p.m. in the same location where two men were struck by bullets. One suffered a graze wound and the other had more serious injuries.

A police spokesperson said it is unknown if the two shootings were connected, but that the bowling alley had been rented out on Sunday night for a private party.

Police were still at the front of the bowling alley when the second shooting happened at the back entrance. No police were reported injured.

Dolton investigators are being assisted by the Cook County sheriff's police and Illinois State Police. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Dolton police at 708-201-3200.
