3-Year-Old Fatally Shoots Mother In Dolton: Reports

DOLTON, IL — A 3-year-old boy accidentally shot his mother to death Saturday after getting hold of a gun as the family sat in a vehicle outside a Food 4 Less grocery store, WGN reported.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The boy's father, who told authorities he owned the gun, was in custody as police continue to investigate, WGN reported.
