AR-15, Other Guns Stolen From Home Safe: Cops
Oak Forest police were able to recover a partial footprint from the crime scene.

OAK FOREST, IL — Several guns were stolen from a residential safe during a burglary earlier this month, according to the Daily Southtown. The incident happened Nov. 6 in the 15200 block of Long Avenue.
According to Oak Forest police, the weapons, which included an AR-15, a .357 Magnum revolver and a .40-caliber Springfield XD semiautomatic handgun, were reported stolen from a safe in an upstairs bedroom, the report stated. A passport and paperwork for the weapons also were taken, the report added.
The items were stolen from the safe after its door had been broken open, the report stated. Tools, such as pruning shears and a sledgehammer, were found in the bedroom near the safe, the report added.

Investigators discovered a partial footprint and are trying to see if fingerprints or other evidence can be recovered from the scene, the report stated.
