Armed Forces Bank Account Holder Victim of Identity Thief

More than $1,000 was withdrawn from an Oak Forest man's account, according to police.

An Oak Forest man who holds an account with Armed Forces Bank found out his identity was stolen after discovering two ATM withdrawals he did not make.

More than $1,000 was taken from the man's account with the bank in Great Lakes, IL, according to an Oak Forest police report dated Nov. 13.

The first incident involved a withdrawal of $502 on Nov. 11 from a an ATM in Clarksville, IN, the report states. A second report came in the amount of $503 on Nov. 12 from an Indianapolis location.

A third withdrawal attempt on Nov. 13 at Plainfield, IN, ATM location was stopped by the bank, the victim told police.

The man said he would press charges if the perpetrator could be found.
