1 Dead In Apparent Suicide Near Food 4 Less: Oak Forest Police

OAK FOREST, IL — An armed subject reported in the area of the former Food 4 Less in Oak Forest has been found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said late Sunday afternoon.

Oak Forest police were on the scene near the former Food 4 Less for approximately two hours.

Police just before 3 p.m. asked the public to avoid the area near 159th Street and Central Avenue. As of 4 p.m., police said the subject had been found deceased of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Additional information is pending notification of the family, police said.
