BB Gun Attacks Hurt 3 Men In Oak Forest: Cops

A Midlothian teen faces battery and reckless conduct charges stemming from the shootings.

OAK FOREST, IL β€” A Midlothian teenager is accused of shooting and injuring three men with a BB gun over a two-day period last week in Oak Forest. Jeremy Brown Elliot, 18, of the 14900 block of Kildare Avenue, was arrested and charged with three counts of battery and three counts of reckless conduct stemming from the incidents, according to the Daily Southtown. He also was cited for marijuana possession.

According to Oak Forest police, the shootings happened Aug. 20-21, the report stated. In the first incident, a 41-year-old man standing next to his trash cans in the 5200 block of 155th Street felt a stinging sensation and found a welt on his chest after a red car drove by at around 9 p.m. Aug. 20, the report added.

The second incident involved two Oak Forest men β€” 25 and 26 β€” who were walking by the Oak Forest Post Office, 15811 Central Ave, on Aug. 21. The men both were shot in the hip, and one of the men suffered a puncture wound, the report added.

After receiving a 911 call from one of the men, police stopped Elliot, who was driving in the 5700 block of Independence Avenue, the report stated. Besides Jeremy Brown Elliot, three other people who were in the car during the stop face two counts of reckless conduct:
