Boy, 16, Fatally Shot In Targeted Attack: South Holland Police
The shooting happened in the 16000 block of Drexel Avenue Saturday night, police said.
SOUTH HOLLAND, IL — A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in a targeted incident Saturday night in South Holland, police said in a release.
Police were called to the 160th block of Drexel Avenue just after 7 p.m. for a report of gunshots, police said. Officers found a teen boy with a gunshot wound on the lawn, police said.
The boy—identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Davell Holden, of South Holland—was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. Medical records list Holden as having multiple gunshot wounds.
