Bremen Football Officially IHSA State Playoff Eligible

On Friday, October 22nd, the Bremen High School Braves defeated the Tinley Park High School Titans with a final score of 21-14. This win officially makes the team IHSA State playoff eligible.

The team, whose record currently stands at 5-4, has repeatedly been called "underdogs."

Even retired Daily Southtown Sports Reporter Pat Disabato agrees that the Braves have come a long way.

"We're definitely excited for our guys, they've been working their tails off since the summer," said Head Bremen Football Coach Dan Stell."

Football players Konya Hunt and Ryan Ahern added their input and excitement after the win.

"We did what we had to do and we came out with the 'W,'" said Hunt.

"I feel good and it was a good team effort," said Ahern. "We played all four quarters and we didn't give up at all. We kept fighting. Even if they scored, we came back. We pushed the ball down and we scored too."

The Braves will now have to take on St. Ignatius College Prep High School who has an impressive record of 8-1. The game takes place at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 29th at St. Ignatius College Prep High School.

"The good thing is that everybody starts off fresh," said Stell. "We have to recalibrate because there are definitely things we need to work on. Way too many penalties tonight but we're just excited to move forward."
