Celebrate Earth Day With The Forest Preserves Of Cook County

Earth Day events are set for April 21-25.

Throughout the past year, nature has provided an important respite for Cook County residents. Show your appreciation by celebrating Earth Day (and Earth Week!) with the Forest Preserves and your community at a litter cleanup or an Earth Day-themed event from Monday, April 21 to Sunday, April 25.


Earth Day Cleanups

Enjoy the health benefits of spending time in nature and join your community in cleaning up at one of our Litter Hotspots to celebrate Earth Day. We will provide bags and gloves at the following locations:

After Earth Day: Anyone can commit to regularly volunteering in the Forest Preserves through the Select Organized Litter Obliterators (SOLO) program. SOLO volunteers can help by collecting litter on their own, or with a small group of family or friends, at one of our Litter Hotspots or any Forest Preserves location they choose.
