Celebration of Life Planned For Longtime Oak Forest Woman Ann Hebert

Friends and family to dedicate a tree planted in memory of a beloved Oak Forest resident.

Rev. Ann D. Hebert, (nee DiSabato) age 89, Oak Forest, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024. Friends and family will gather in Centennial Park, in Orland Park, on Monday, June 9th at 10:00 am. to dedicate a tree in her memory.

Ann was born on March 15, 1935 to the late Michael and Anna Marie DiSabato and was raised in Chicago. She was the beloved mother of the late Joseph (Linda) Hebert, Mary (Ed) Balcitis, Laura (Billy) Sparks and Karen Marcotte. She was the former wife of the late Joseph Hebert. She deeply loved her grandchildren, Michelle (Eric) Heinz, James Hebert, Joseph (Sandra) Hebert, Kevin (April) Ciesla, Christopher (Mike) Ciesla, Rebecca Marcotte and Ryan Marcotte. She adored her great grandchildren, Cameron, Sydney, Ian, Annalee, Adler, Nova, Jayleen, Michael, and Lexi. She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister, David (Dorothy) DiSabato, Michael (Anne), Augustine (Susan), Anthony (These), and Josephine (Charles) Cleary. She was the beloved aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Ann graduated as valedictorian from Jones Commercial High School in Chicago and worked as a secretary and a bookkeeper. Later in life, passionate about sharing her love for Jesus, Ann became an ordained Unity minister. She loved to preach, to teach God's Word and to officiate baptisms, funerals and weddings, especially for her beloved grandchildren. Ann served as minister of Unity Church of Clearwater, in Florida for several years. Ann's ministry also included work with churches in transition in New York, Canada, Indiana and Missouri, guest speaking and teaching courses on the Power of the Word and Prosperity and Abundance, as well as ministering on Unity's prayer line, Silent Unity.

Retired for many years, Ann was known for her simple acts of kindness, trying to make a difference for those who needed a hand. She was an avid reader, she loved to bake and to walk anywhere, especially near a shoreline. Ann cherished every chance to spend time with her family, and she will be deeply missed.
