Children In Amber Alert Found; Police Still Searching For Dad
The father is wanted by police for questioning in the shooting death of the children's mother.

MARKHAM, IL — Two younger children who were thought to be abducted by their father and the subject of an Amber Alert earlier this week were found safe, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Lynn Roby, 3, and Jordyn Washington, 2, were found safe by authorities Thursday afternoon.
Markham police requested the Amber Alert on Wednesday, March 15, after they suspected the children had been taken by their father, Lynn Washington, 46. He is wanted for questioning in the death of the children's mother, who was fatally shot Wednesday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
According to authorities, Washington picked up the children from a family friend Wednesday after the shooting despite a November order protection prohibiting him from having contact with them, the report stated. He was last seen in a 2004 or 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Impala or Malibu and is considered armed and dangerous, the report added.
