'Extremely Disturbing': Underage Sex Sting Nets Arrest Of Country Club Hills Man, 2 Others
The three men all face charges involving traveling to meet a minor, grooming and solicitation to meet a child.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A Country Club Hills man is among three charged with sex crimes involving a minor following a sting in Downers Grove, the DuPage County State's Attorney said Tuesday.
The three men were each charged with traveling to meet a minor for sexual purposes, the state's attorney's office said.
On June 4, the Downers Grove Police Department, in cooperation with the Westmont and Carol Stream police departments, and the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group (DuMeg) ran an underage grooming operation using undercover police officers posing as minor children.

On a website related to "adult services," a fictitious poster claiming to be 18 years old was listed as advertising services. The same day, all three men responded to the poster, then allegedly "discussed sexual activity and payment for the services," with the poster then indicating she was only 16 years old, the state's attorney's office alleges.
The men are then alleged to have traveled to a Downers Grove hotel to engage in sexual acts with the poster. All three were arrested on-scene, and all were charged with traveling to meet a minor, grooming and solicitation to meet a child, the state's attorney's office said.

Devonte Robinson, 28, of Country Club Hills, Nicholas Flesher, 55, of Schererville, Indiana, and Cameron Konter, 24, of Braceville, all appeared in court June 5. All were released with conditions of electronic monitoring and no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Robinson and Flesher are next due in court June 12; Konter's next court date is June 30.
"The allegations against these three men are extremely disturbing," said DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin. "The predatory actions allegedly committed by each of these men, as they sought to have inappropriate sexual relations with an underage girl, will not be tolerated in DuPage County. I thank the Downers Grove Police Department for their work on this case and their continued efforts in protecting some of society’s most vulnerable as well as the United States Secret Service, DuMeg and the Westmont and Carol Stream Police Departments for their assistance. I also thank Assistant State’s Attorney Grace Barsanti for her efforts not only on this case but for their continued work in protecting our children from sexual predators as is alleged in this case."
"I would like to thank the team of officers from Downers Grove, Westmont, Carol Stream, and DuMeg for their proactive efforts to investigate human trafficking,” said Downers Grove Chief of Police Michael DeVries.
"Their cooperative efforts to combat these crimes is commendable and we will continue to do everything to protect children and hold those looking to harm them accountable for their actions. I would also like to thank DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin and his office, along with the United States Secret Service for assisting with this operation.”
