D145, 142, 146 Close Schools, Move to e-Learning Friday Ahead Of Storm

OAK FOREST, IL — Oak Forest and area school districts will close schools and shift to e-learning plans Friday, in preparation for what's predicted to be a significant winter storm that could bring up to nine inches of snow with 50 mph wind gusts to the Chicago area.

Arbor Park District 145 has now also announced it will close schools, along with Forest Ridge District 142 and District 146. The schools will instead shift to an e-Learning day, according to emergencyclosingcenter.com and district officials.

Arbor Park District 145 schools include Kimberly Heights, Arbor Elementary, Scarlet Oak, and Arbor Park Middle School.

District 142 schools include Ridge Early Childhood Center, Kerkstra and Foster elementary schools, and Jack Hille Middle School.

District 146 schools include Memorial, Fulton, Fierke, Kruse, and Central Middle School. The district serves Orland Park, Tinley Park, and Oak Forest.
