D228's Delta Academy and SSC Unite for Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
The walk took place on October 31st.

On October 31st, Bremen High School District 228’s Delta Academy partnered with South Suburban College to host a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, bringing together students, staff, and community members for a meaningful cause.
The event, which featured a one-mile walk through the neighborhood, was a powerful demonstration of unity and commitment to raising awareness about breast cancer. The participants, many of whom were dressed in pink, gathered at the South Suburban College Oak Forest campus on the morning to kick off the event. The energy was palpable as walkers held signs with messages of support for breast cancer survivors.
"We wanted to bring everyone together—students, staff, and SSC members—to celebrate survivors and support those still fighting," said Erin Collins, Director of Delta Academy. "Throughout October, our school was filled with footprints on the walls: white ones to honor those who lost their battle and pink ones to celebrate survivors and those currently facing breast cancer. Students and staff wrote names of loved ones impacted, creating a powerful display of solidarity."
