Deadline: Purchase And Display Oak Forest Vehicle Sticker
Vehicle sticker cost will double beginning Sunday, according to the city.

OAK FOREST, IL β Drivers in Oak Forest must purchase and display vehicle stickers by Saturday, before prices double on Aug. 1.
The 2021-2022 stickers can be purchased online through the city's website. Refer to the "VEHICLE ID" number on the pre-printed application, when purchasing a sticker online, here.
Starting Sunday, stickers will double in price and vehicles registered in Oak Forest without stickers will be ticketed. City Hall will be open to accommodate residents needing to purchase Vehicle Stickers, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. City Hall is usually open to the public, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to the city, all vehicles housed within Oak Forest must be registered with the city, and display a current vehicle sticker at all times. Vehicle stickers are valid from July 1 - June 30 of each year.
Oak Forest residents annually receive vehicle sticker applications via mail, if their vehicle is currently registered with the city.

The stickers must be placed to the lower right corner of the windshield, on the passenger's side. Registration fees for a passenger car are currently $25 dollars, and $15 dollars for motorcycles.
According to the city, senior citizens β 65 and olderβ are eligible to receive two free vehicle stickers per household, with proper ID and vehicle registration. The vehicle must be registered in the senior citizen's name, and disabled veterans, POWs, and active military may also be eligible for free registration.
The city states that if you purchase a new vehicle, you can pay a $2 transfer fee from the old registered vehicle, and receive a new sticker for the new vehicle. There is a limit of two transfers allowed per year. To do so, visit the City Clerk's Office to complete the vehicle sticker application form and pay the transfer fee.
For new residents, the city explains that vehicles must be registered within 30 days of moving in, and show proof of a move-in date. By contacting the city's clerk's office, new-comers will receive an application in the mail. Up to three vehicles can be registered on one form.
