Dog Rescued From Basement Fire, No Injuries Reported: Oak Forest Fire

OAK FOREST, IL — A dog was pulled safely from a home during a house fire Tuesday in Oak Forest, officials said.

On Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 4:48 p.m., the Oak Forest Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 17000 block of Bonnie Trail. Crews extinguished the basement fire quickly and rescued a dog from the house, while the resident successfully evacuated other animals.

No injuries were reported.

Oak Forest Fire received assistance from Country Club Hills, Tinley Park, Markham, Midlothian, Orland Park and Palos Heights.
