Aaron C. Lindsey, 25, of the 3400 block of Montmarte Avenue, Hazelcrest, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and disobeying a stop sign, according to an Oak Forest police report.

Police stopped Lindsey at about 10:46 p.m. the intersection of Forest Avenue and 167th Street for blowing a stop sign, the report states. An officer could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana. When asked to get out of the vehicle, Lindsey allegedly admitted to having a smoking pipe and grinder in the center console. The officer recovered the paraphernalia, as well as a bag that contained two pills in the Lindsey's pocket.

A Walgreens pharmacist identified the pills as Alprazolam, the report states.

Asleep At The Wheel

Andre Thompson, 50, of the 300 block of Calhoun, Calumet City, was charged with driving under the influence, according to a police report.

Thompson was approached by police at about 11:22 p.m. near the intersection of 167th Street and Central Avenue, the report states. Officer found his car parked in the middle lane of the road with the engine running. Thompson was reportedly asleep at the steering wheel. Police said he smelled like alcohol. He fell when he tried to get out of the car and had to be helped back to his feet.

Police said Thompson refused to take a breath test, the report states.
