Early Voting Begins At Oak Forest City Hall

Find out when voters can cast their ballots early in this year's primary election.

OAK FOREST, IL — Primary elections for several state offices, such as governor and attorney general, will be held March 20. But what about Oak Forest residents who want to cast their ballot but can't do it on Election Day?

Beginning Monday, March 5, the city will allow early voting in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 15440 Central Ave.. The extended early voting times will run until March 19, according to the city.

The following schedule is when early voting will be available at Oak Forest's City Hall:

  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, March 5, to Saturday, March 10
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11
  • 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, March 12, to Friday, March 16
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 18
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, March 19

And because suburban Cook County uses touch screens that store the different available ballots, Oak Forest residents can cast their votes at any early voting location, not just City Hall. In fact, voters in a hurry can check the website of the Cook County Clerk's Office for wait times at early voting locations.

Voters also don't need to give a reason for voting early, nor do they need to have a government-issued photo ID when they cast their ballots.
