The most pressing issues facing our district are _______, and this is what I intend to do about them.

Lack of support for the children struggling to understand. Create an after school learning program.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have children in the district so I know the ins and outs of what goes on during their day at school.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community or district?

They keep moving teachers to other grades and subjects which creates a disadvantage for students. And has resulted in over have of the teachers to leave the district.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

I would like transparency from the school board and the administrators.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I work with the public all day. And think I can help bridge the gap so admins, parents, teachers and students all feel hear and acknowledged.

Why should voters trust you?

I care about what is best for the students. I want my kids to succeed and in doing that all the other children have to do the same.

If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office a success?

After school learning center, free breakfast for all students and after bus service so more students can participate in afterschool activities.

What guidance should staff be given for dealing with potential ICE enforcement at schools?

That would be directed to the superintendent. The district needs a plan that all schools follow.

How do you feel about sex education being taught in school? Should an LGBTQ component be included, and why or why not?

I think it should be taught. Yes, kids can use it as an educational resource instead of looking at lgbtq being a bad thing.

Should cell phones be banned during school? Why or why not?

That’s a hard one. My yes is that if there is a threat at school, I wanna be notified. But I understand the distraction it creates for teachers trying to teach..

When it comes to student achievement, what are schools within this district doing well and what needs to be improved? How can those improvements be made?

I do like the panther stickers that give them a tangible reward for doing something good. I think maybe some teachers awards would help so the students can see that adults get rewarded too.

Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?

No
