Evergreen Park Man Charged With Firing Gun At Oak Forest Business
Cody Zimmerman, 29, faces firearms charges after police said he fired a gun at a local business early Saturday morning on 159th Street.

OAK FOREST, IL β A 29-year-old Evergreen Park man has been arrested and charged in connection with an incident in which police said he fired a gun at an Oak Forest business last weekend, police said Wednesday.
Cody Zimmerman, of the 26000 block of West 96th Place, has been charged with a count of aggravated discharge of a firearm, police announced on Wednesday.
Police said that officers were called to the 5400 block of 159th Street at 2:38 a.m. early Saturday morning when the businessβs alarm was activated. Police said a local resident also called saying they had heard gunfire, police said.

Police said on Wednesday that investigators identified a suspect and a vehicle that was associated with the incident. No one was injured but police found multiple shell casings outside of the business but did not find evidence that any shots were fired inside the home of the resident who reported hearing the gunshots.
