Gaelic Park Seeks Its Next Irish Fest Queen

The Queen and runner-up will reign for one year, representing the park in parades, sponsored events and charitable functions.

OAK FOREST, IL — Chicago Gaelic Park is seeking a new Irish Fest Queen in advance of its August festival. The Queen and runner-up, who will reign for one full year, will also represent Chicago Gaelic Park at local St. Patrick’s Day parades as well as sponsored events and charitable functions. The two women will receive valuable prizes upon selection, including 2 roundtrip ticket to Ireland for the winner.

Applicants must be single women of Irish heritage ages 18-29 by March 31. Applicants must be available to attend the Queen selection day on June 7 capped off by the Winner Announcement Ceremony at 7:00 pm. All Chicago Gaelic Park friends are invited to attend the ceremony.

Entrants must submit a $10 registration fee and complete a brief application listing talents/hobbies, schools, and employment. The printable application is available at www.ChicagoGaelicPark.com under the “Community and Culture” tab. Applications with the registration fee may be mailed or dropped off to the Gaelic Park Front Office.

Applications are due by June 6 at noon.
