Man Arrested, Charged In Midlothian Murder, Ending 3 Month Search
According to police and the FBI, Jamil Hayes shot 2 women in October outside of SVN Live Bar, killing one 19-year-old.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL β Midlothian police and FBI officials arrested a man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for charges related to the death of a Midlothian 19-year-old last year.
According to the FBI Fugitive Task Force and Midlothian police, Jamil Hayes was arrested Friday. The 25-year-old Chicago man was charged with first-degree murder shortly after being taken into custody. The charge is related to the October shooting death of Morgan Brown outside of SVN Live Bar in Midlothian.
According to police, Jamil R. Hayes got into a verbal fight with two women on Oct. 31 outside of SVN Live Bar. After becoming angry with them, officers said Hayes pistol-whipped one woman and then shot them both. One of the women, later identified as Brown, died from her injuries.

Police said Hayes then fled the scene in a gray Nissan Altima. Since then, police had not been able to locate the man. Police filed charges against Hayes in November but were finally able to get the man to appear in bond court over the weekend.
Brown's family offered a $5,000 reward along and the FBI offered an additional $1,000 for any information leading to Hayes' arrest. Police did not immediately respond to questions on if anyone was awarded the money as a result of Hayes' arrest.
