Man Found Dead In Oak Forest Forest Preserve Took His Own Life: ME

OAK FOREST, IL — A man found dead in an Oak Forest forest preserve Sunday afternoon took his own life, the Cook County Medical Examiner said Wednesday.

The body of the 45-year-old Hickory Hills man was discovered in Carlson Springs Woods at 143rd near Oak Park Avenue just before 1 p.m. Sunday.

Initial indication was that there was no threat to public safety, said Communications Manager Stacina Stagner.

Identification details indicate this incident is not related to a missing person case from nearby Tinley Park.
