Chicago Man, 30, Charged With Attempted Murder In Robbins Stabbing: Sheriff

ROBBINS, IL — A Chicago man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing another man during a fight in Robbins the day after Christmas.

At approximately 6:40 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2025, Robbins police requested Cook County Sheriff's Police detectives to investigate a stabbing that occurred near the 13000 block of Grace Avenue.

Detectives learned that Brian Davis, 30, of Chicago, allegedly took out a pocketknife and stabbed a 35-year-old man multiple times while they fought. The victim was transported to an area hospital treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Davis, of the 3500 block of 80th Street in Chicago, was also treated at a local hospital for a cut on his hand.

Following further investigation by detectives, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved felony charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery/great bodily harm against Davis on Dec. 28.

Davis was ordered to Cook County Jail custody on Dec. 29 following his initial court appearance at the Markham Courthouse.
