Man Shot Inside Car In Oak Forest, Police Investigating

The shooting happened Tuesday in the 15000 block of Parkside Avenue, police said.

OAK FOREST, IL — Police are investigating after one person was shot in a car outside his Oak Forest home Tuesday, police said in a release Thursday.

Police on March 26 just before 8:30 p.m. were called to the 15000 block of Parkside Avenue, for a report of a person shot. Officers found a male victim in his early 20s with a gunshot wound inside his home.

The victim provided police with limited information, but told officers that he had gotten into a vehicle described as "possibly a blue Nissan" parked in front of his house. A confrontation happened, and the victim was shot. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The suspect fled the area in the vehicle.

The incident appears to be isolated between two parties who know each other, police said.
