Missing Midlothian Teens Found Safe: PD

Two Midlothian 17-year-olds were both found safe Thursday, police said.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — Two Midlothian teens reported missing earlier this week were found safe and have been reunited with their families, police said.

Tristan Brown, 17, and Lillian Bereta-Hanna, also 17, had been missing since Sunday evening, when they were said to be headed to Midlothian Meadows.

Bereta-Hanna was located Thursday afternoon in unincorporated Des Plaines, Midlothian Police said. Brown was found later Thursday, also in unincorporated Des Plaines. No further details were provided.

"Both of our missing juveniles, Tristan Brown and Jillian Bereta-Hanna were found in unincorporated Des Plaines, Illinois. Both are in good health and are being returned to their families," Chief Daniel Delaney said.

Midlothian police thanked the Cook County Sheriff's Department, the Cook County Forest Preserve Police Department, the Oak Forest Police Department, the Elk Grove Village Police Department, the Indiana Harbor Belt RailRoad Police Department, and the Calcomm Dispatchers for their assistance in the investigation.
