Missing Teen Fatally Shoots Self Outside Fire Station: Midlothian Police
Police were called for a missing juvenile early Tuesday.
MIDLOTHIAN, IL β A juvenile who had been reported missing early Tuesday was found dead outside a Midlothian firehouse, Midlothian police said.
Police were called just after 6 a.m. Tuesday to 147th Street and Homan Avenue for a report of a missing juvenile.
Police found the juvenile dead in the parking lot of station 2 firehouse at 147th and Homan. Police determined that he died of a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound, Midlothian Police Daniel Chief Delaney said.

Police did not immediately disclose the juvenile's identity. Cook County Medical Examiner records indicate the juvenile was a 17-year-old Midlothian boy.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the juvenile," Delaney said.
