'Multiple' Calls To Police, Sheriff As Shots Fired At Event Space
Police told Patch they saw cars fleeing and found shell casings at 148th Street and Cicero Avenue Sunday morning.
MIDLOTHIAN, IL — Midlothian police and Cook County Sheriff's deputies are investigating multiple reports of gunshots after Midlothian and Oak Forest residents reported hearing shots fired early Sunday morning.
According to police, officers responded to the intersection of 148th Street and Cicero Avenue Sunday at 12:15 a.m. When they arrived, police said multiple cars were fleeing the parking lot of TwentyOne20 Events.
Officers found multiple shell casings in the parking lot of the 14814 South Cicero Avenue event space.

A spokesperson for the event space did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment. According to its website, the space is open until 12 a.m. on Sundays and has a capacity of 59 people for birthday parties, photo shoots and social events.
Midlothian police told Patch they are investigating the incident and that no injuries had been reported as a result as of Monday night.
