OAK FOREST, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
After having been neighbors omly since Dec 2019, the Burkes and their children have been very helpful to us. They shop and bring food and goodies to my husband and me who are at greater risk for COVID19. They check up on us with calls and texts. They are a very special family and deserve recognition.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
They have renewed my faith in the kindness of others.
