Oak Forest 'Church Ladies' Selling Homemade Pierogi For Holidays

OAK FOREST, IL — For anyone looking for a special treat for their Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner tables, some local, self-proclaimed "Church Ladies" have you covered.

The “Church Ladies Test Kitchen” at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (15050 Central Ave., Oak Forest) are busy again gearing up for their 2024 holiday pierogi sale, and will have the pierogi ready in time for your holiday dinners. All the familiar flavors are back by popular demand, with a few new ones, too! Also new this year are dessert Kolaczkis—though those flavors are still a surprise.

The sale is set for Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 24 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The ladies will sell the goods for $8 per 1/2 dozen. No pre-order option this time—it's first come, first served!
