Oak Forest City Council To Consider Constitution Week
The city council will meet on Tuesday at the Oak Forest City Hall.

OAK FOREST, IL β The Oak Forest City Council will meet Tuesday to vote on a number of agenda items. One proclamation the council will consider is the recognition of Constitution Week within the city.
From Sept. 17 to Sept. 23, many Americans will observe Constitution week to commemorate the adoption of the United States Constitution. According to Wikipedia, the week was officially enacted on Aug. 2, 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower from a congressional resolution petitioned by the Daughters of the American Revolution, but it was George W. Bush who officially declared the inception of Constitution Week in September 2002.
