Oak Forest Holds Touch A Truck Event July 17

Go ahead — climb up a fire truck. Jump in a cop car. Check out the dump truck. Oak Forest will let you July 17 at 6 p.m.

OAK FOREST, IL — For those of you dying to check out cop cars and fire trucks: Here's your chance. Oak Forest is holding its "Touch A Truck" event July 17.

Limited parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the front lot, Acorn Library and at Kindercare after 6:30 p.m. Handicap parking will be available in the east side of the parking lot. Some additional parking also will be available in the Raiders lot at Natalie Drive and Ann Marie Drive, on Long Avenue, and on the side streets across from the Park District.

Special treats will be handed out while supplies are available.

It is free and open to the public.

The event will be held at 6 p.m., Wed., July 17 at 15601 S. Central Avenue. A no-horn period will be held from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m.
