Shots Fired, Barricade Lead To Gun Charge For Oak Forest Man: Police
A 30-year-old Oak Forest man fired a gun outside his apartment building during an altercation, police said.
OAK FOREST, IL β A 30-year-old Oak Forest man was arrested Tuesday after police said he fired a gun during an altercation outside an apartment building.
Police were called at 5:10 p.m. to the 15300 block of Knox Avenue for a report of shots fired. Officers learned that during an altercation outside the apartment building, Justin Lindsey, 30, had taken out a gun and fired it into the air, according to police.
After learning Lindsey was armed and inside his apartment, Oak Forest police and the South Suburban Emergency Response Team surrounded the building. Residents were asked to shelter in place while police were on-scene. Lindsey then came out of the building and was taken into custody without incident, police said Wednesday.

Lindsey was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and will appear at Bridgeview Courthouse Thursday, Sept. 27. Anyone with information on the case should contact Detective David Lowisz at (708)687-1376.
